Student arrested for kissing a sales girl in a Lefkosa shop

A student has been arrested and brought to a Lefkosa court for reportedly holding and kissing a woman in a shop in Lefkosa last week.

The suspect identified as Mohammed Rasool committed the crime on Friday April, 20 at a confection store in Lefkosa and was caught two days later on April 22, 2018.

According to report, the suspect was arrested following a complain by the woman, a shop salesperson.

According to her complaint, the suspect forcibly kissed her in a garment shop he had entered as a customer in Lefkosa.

Police say the suspect held the girl's fingers and her shoulders before going on to kiss her. Police say camera images were shown to him before he accepted the crime.

The accused told the court that "I wanted to kiss my sister, I wanted to kiss."

The suspect, a student in the country was charged to court for sexual assault and ordered by the court to deposit a cash of ten thousand TL and banned from traveling out of the country.
