Cyprus Talks: Greek Cypriot leadership to blame for non-solution - Akinci
President of the Turkish Republic of North Cyprus, Mustafa Akıncı has blamed the the government of the Greek Cypriot side for the non-solution of the Cyprus Problem for years.
Akinci made the remarks when speaking during the 23 April Children’s Day celebrations on Monday and according to him, the Turkish Cypriot people were always seeking to protect its rights.
Akıncı stated that the Turkish Cypriot side wanted to live in peace and harmony but that the Greek Cypriot leadership was making great mistakes such as chasing dreams of ENOSIS.
Akıncı pointed out that the Turkish Cypriot side wanted nothing more than its rights and to live in equality, freedom and security.

We do not have the luxury of being divided amongst ourselves during this phase we are going through he said.
Akıncı stated that the Turkish Cypriot side wanted to live in peace and harmony but that the Greek Cypriot leadership was making great mistakes such as chasing dreams of ENOSIS.
The Greek Cypriot leadership for years made great mistakes. They did not know where to stop. Instead of choosing a common life on this island they wanted to unite the island with Greece. They chased dreams and aspirations of Enosis. This island remains divided as a consequence of the actions of the Greek Cypriot Administration which did not know when to stop he added.
Akıncı pointed out that the Turkish Cypriot side wanted nothing more than its rights and to live in equality, freedom and security.
