13 Bangladeshi refugees en route to Turkey arrested by coast guards in Girne
13 Bangladeshi refugees were arrested by the TRNC Coast guards crew on Sunday night in Girne as they were about heading for Turkey in boat.
According to report, they were found by the Girne Coast Guard teams as they wanted to depart the TRNC illegally by boat though the Tatlısu openings.
The boat captain was arrested along with the thirteen refugees as the boat was in danger of sinking while trying to exit the TRNC illegally.
14 people were arrested and arraigned in a Girne court where they were ordered to remain in police detention for three days.
