Two international students arrested in Girne for drug

Two international students were on Friday arrested in Girne by TRNC narcotics team for drug related offenses.

The suspected identified as SB, 25 and AG, 24, all foreign students were arrested in two separate operations by the team on Friday evening following a tip off and were charged to court where they were ordered to remain in police custody for 3 days.

In the operation, a total of 17 grams of junk food type drugs, 2 grams of cocaine type drugs, a sensitive balance, and 6,000Tl cash believed to from the sale of the drug were found by the police.

They accepted their crimes in court and will remain in police custody for three days in order to allow the investigation to be carried out.
