Turkish man found dead in his Girne apartment

A 37-year-old Turkish man working at the Elexus Hotel in Girne, was found dead in his apartment on Tuesday night.

The victim identified as Türkay Eryürek, was found dead in his apartment by his friends in the early hours of Wednesday morning.

According to police report, there was no evidence he was assaulted.

His body was taken to the Dr. Burhan Nalbantoğlu State Hospital morgue in Lefkosa. An autopsy will be conducted to determine the true cause of his death.

Türkay who works as a butcher in the hotel came to the TRNC over two months ago to work.

He is said to be hard working, honest and loved by all colleagues.

His body will be flown to his homeland, Burdur, Turkey after the autopsy is completed.
