Three people arrested for drug abuse in Famagusta

Three young international students including two females and one male have been arrested and detained for three days by police in Famagusta for drug abuse.

The three suspects including two females were arrested by narcotics police in a vehicle parked on the seashore in the Gülseren district, Famagusta on Thursday, 15th Match following a tip off.
They were charged to court for drug abuse following which they were ordered to remain in police custody for three days.
Police identified the suspects as MMJ (19) and PH (19), who are of Moroccan nationality.
Police say the suspects were found with sensitive scales and drug substance believed to be a kind of jail made and a 100 TL banknote in the pocket of  one of the suspects.
Another suspect identified as GDE, 24 was also arrested.
Police say they recovered 2,200 milligrams of drug from the suspects adding that they voluntarily accepted the crimes.
