Man seriously injured in motorcycle accident in Dereboyu

A motorcyclist is currently battling for his life after he was hit by a car in Dereboyu, Lefkosa on Saturday morning.

The victim Metin Sevimli, 22 was seriously injured in the accident that took place at about 8:30am on Saturday morning.

Police say the driver of the car while entering the road without giving priority to other vehicles on the Memduh Asaf Street clashed with the motorcycle.

The motorcycle rider Metin Sevimli, was taken to the Burhan Nalbantoğlu State Hospital in Lefkosa following a First Aid treatment by medical team at the accident spot.

He is said to have sustained fractures in various parts of his body report Turkish Cypriot daily, Kibris.
