Man caught with bag containing 300g of drug in Famagusta
North Cyprus Narcotics and Smuggling Prevention Directorate police on Thursday arrested a man with 300 grams of bonzai in Famagusta.
According to police report, the suspect identified as Ismet Postacioglu, was caught red-handed with a bag of 300 grams of bonzai in his house.
Police said they received information about the suspect on Wednesday March, 7 following which a search was carried out.
Following a search on the suspect, "synthetic cannabinoid" type drugs weighting 300 grams was found in his hand bag and 5,190 TL cash which was seized by the police.
The suspect was taken to a Famagusta court on charges of drug possession.
The court then ordered the suspect to remain in police custody for one day for investigation purposes.
