#JusticeForKennedy - Suspects to remain in detention for another seven days as more evidence emerged
Seven suspects arrested in connection with the murder of 28-year-old Nigerian student, Kennedy Taomwabwa Dede on January, 29 has been ordered to remain in detention for another seven days as their trial continues after they were arraigned in court today.
All seven suspects, Ozan Korkurt, 18, Zekeriya Founder, 22, Burcu Çelik, 16, Onur Körkurt, 21, Simge Dağdur, 17, Aydan Sel, 28 and Nidai Şanlı, 28 were arraigned before a Famagusta court today, the fourth week in a row and will continue to remain in police detention as investigation continues.
According to court proceedings, police investigator said more evidences related to the murder have emerged.
According to police investigation carried out during the period of their detention, 38 of telephone conversation made between the suspects before, during and after the incident, were related to the incident.
Also, audio recordings made at different time before, during and after the incident, have been sent to Turkey to help identified the voices of the suspects.
Kennedy was kidnapped by 7 people on Monday, January, 29 from his resident in Magusa and taken to the Çanakkale pond in the outskirt of the city where he was seriously beaten and killed.
Following the incident, 7 people including three teenagers were arrested and charged to court for murder, human abduction and serious assault.
Before his untimely death, Kennedy was an Architecture student at the Eastern Mediterranean University in Magusa and has represented and won medals for the university in several sporting events.

court also requested that an investigation report on their DNA be
submitted in the next court proceedings on Friday next week.
