Jealous boyfriend stab man with scissor in Girne because his girlfriend was in his car

A jealous boyfriend has been arraigned in Girne court, North Cyprus for stabbing a man on the stomach with a scissor because he carried his girlfriend in his car.

Emrah Ercis who saw his girlfriend in another car in Girne on Thursday, deliberately bash the victims car with his car before going ahead to stuck a scissor into his stomach out of jealousy.

The two men were reportedly engaged in a fight before the jealous boyfriend struck the victim, AY with a scissor in his possession causing him serious injury.

He was arrested and charged to a Girne court on Friday for bodily damage and violence where he testified to committing the crime.

The victim was taken to the hospital for treatment.

The accused apologized to the court, arguing that he had been away from the country for five years and had committed the crime out of jealousy.

The accused was given a bail of 5,000 TL cash plus a guarantor who must be a Turkish Cypriot citizen with 10,000 TL bond.
