Fake house agent arrested in Girne

A fake house agent has been arrested by the TRNC police after she rented out an apartment belonging to someone else in Girne.

According to police report, the suspect identified as Attorney CC, who was arrested and charged to court on Friday, had  rented out an apartment belonging to someone else in Girne claiming it was her own.

According to police investigation, the suspect charged with "obtaining money by fraud" had on January 18 and February 5 told her victim who was a student that she owned the Depa apartment located in Girne.

The student reportedly paid her a rent fee of 6, 242 TL. When he could not be given the keys to the apartment, he decided to take her to court. 

Police said they have completed all investigation on the matter.

The court judge ordered the suspect to pay a bail bond of 50,000TL and a guarantor of TRNC citizen with a bond of 30,000TL. She was also banned from leaving the country.
