Drunk driver crashes car in Girne, injures two

Two people were injured in a traffic accident that took place in Girne on Saturday morning.

According to police report, the accident happened at about 7:00 am at the Mustafa Çağatay Road, Girne on Saturday morning.

The driver of the car, identified as O.Ç.Y, 23 was under the influence of 88 promil alcohol. Police said he was driving very fast and carelessly lossing control of the wheels before crashing into a road side barrier.

The driver of the car and T.S, 24, a passenger in the car was injured in the accident.

Some bottles of alcohol were found in the car.

They were taken to the Dr Akçiçek Hospital in Girne.
