Dad ‘killed daughter in exorcism ritual and performed sex act on her in an attempt to revive her’

A role-playing dad obsessed with the game Dark Ages allegedly killed his daughter during a bizarre exorcism ritual.

The man then claims to have sexually violated her body in a bizarre attempt to “revive her”, it’s been reported.

The 50-year-old, named only as Klaus S. because of privacy laws, is facing 14 years in prison for “murder and desecration of the dead”.

He is on trial in the city of Frauenfeld, capital of the northeastern Swiss canton of Thurgau.

His daughter Vanessa died aged 25 on 2 January 2016 in the nearby town of Wagenhausen.

She and her German father were reportedly celebrating the New Year at Vanessa’s boyfriend’s flat.

Her boyfriend wasn’t there at the time.

All three were medieval re-enactment enthusiasts.

Vanessa only met her father two years before her death as her mother who was separated from him refused to reveal his identity while she was growing up.

According to the indictment, the unemployed father and his daughter had been in a major row days before her death.

The indictment added that her father perceived Vanessa as aggressive, believed a demon had possessed her and decided to perform an exorcism.

He started by bracing her against a bookshelf and massaging her with his bare foot, it is reported, starting with her back and then having her turn so he could massage her front.

But he then started pressing harder and when she protested is said to have punched and kicked her in the abdomen.

Vanessa was later found to have sustained torn intestines, a smashed liver, internal bleeding and extensive bruising.

Despite her injuries, she went to have a shower following the “exorcism”, where she collapsed.

As stated in the indictment, her father then tried to revive her by defiling her body.

Then he allegedly prised open her jaw with a wooden spear in an apparent attempt to help her breathe.

I only did a massage with Vanessa. It was not intentional to harm her — just an oversight. I did not think I could hurt her like that, he told the court.

Boyfriend Kurt said:

I wasn’t at home when it happened — suddenly I got a weird text message from her father.

I couldn’t believe what I saw. Vanessa was lying there with blue lips and pale skin.

When he managed to call the emergency services, it was already too late to save her.
