53-Year-old man stabbed to death by his tenant in Alsancak

A terrible murder took place in Alsancak this afternoon where a 53-year-old man was stabbed to death by his tenant.

The deceased identified as Memduh Ulgün was stabbed to death by a tenant and his wife at about 12:30pm on Tuesday afternoon at Zeytinlik Street in Alsancak.

According to report, Memduh ULUGÜN was having an argument with the couple when he was stabbed in the chest with a knife by one of them. He lost his life at the spot.

The suspects identified as Mariam and Mehmet tired to escape but was prevented from escaping.

Relatives of the victim who came to the scene of the incident, allegedly tried to lynch the suspects, but police quickly intervened and dispersed the crowd amid chaos.

The police had to open fire before they could control the angry crowd.

The cause of the fight is still unknown at the time of this report.

Memduh Ulgün, before his death was serving at the Water Affairs Ministry in Alsancak Municipality.

Two people were arrested for the incident as police commences investigation.

An autopsy carried out on him on Wednesday revealed that he died as a result of internal bleeding and organ damage due to the stabs wounds.
