Turkish Cypriot man set car on fire to claim insurance
Two days ago, two Turkish Cypriots, a father and his son were arrested in Girne in connection to a burnt luxury car and it has now been revealed that one of those arrested was the owner of the car and reportedly set the car on fire to claim insurance. WOW!!!
According to report, the BMW saloon car was arsoned on Tuesday night and following investigation, three people were arrested and taken to a Girne court.
Following extensive investigation by the police, it was revealed that the vehicle was burned by the owner Arif Kimyalar with flammable material with his son Mehmet Erpolat as an accomplice.
The man who accepted the crime, voluntarily testified in court on Thursday and confessed to filing a complaint with the insurance company to acquire money for the burnt car.
The judge ordered the suspects to remain in custody for one day to allow the investigation to be carried out.
