Nigerian woman arrested in North Cyprus for Human trafficking
A Nigerian lady studying in Cyprus has been arrested by the North Cyprus police for human trafficking.
The lady is said to be a student in one of the universities in North Cyprus.
According to an anonymous source, the trafficker has successfully trafficked several girls from Nigeria to Cyprus for prostitution.
On arrival, she seizes their passports at the airport and make them to pay 40,000 euros each before releasing their passports to them.
These girls are expected to make this money by standing at bus stops and doing auto stops.
The traffickers make these girls sleep with up to 3 to 4 men daily.
The UN has also been informed and steps are being taken.
The traffickers are currently at the Girne police station and investigation is ongoing.
