#JusticeForKennedy - Kennedy's sister (Miriam) speaks out! calls for justice
His younger sister, Dede Miriam who is also a student in Cyprus has spoken out for the first time on video since the murder demanding justice for her late brother.
Speaking through the platform of VOIS Cyprus, she poured out her pain and sorrow, and called on all to stand for justice!
Dede before his untimely death, was an Architecture student at the Eastern Mediterranean University in Magusa and has represented and won medals for the university in several sporting events.
Kennedy was kidnapped by 7 people on Monday, January, 29 from his resident in Magusa. He was then taken to the Çanakkale lake in the outskirt of the city where he was seriously beaten and killed.
He was left half naked in the Çanakkale Pond with half his body in the lake and the other half outside.
Following the incident, 7 suspects connected with the murder were arrested and charged to court for murder, human abduction and serious assault.
The suspects are Ozan Korkurt, 18, Zekeriya Founder, 22, Burcu Çelik, 16, Onur Körkurt, 21, Simge Dağdur, 28, Aydan Sel and Nidai Şanlı, 28.
They are all in police custody and will appear in court on Friday February 16.
Since the incident, there has been a massive outcry and protests by the Nigerian community in North Cyprus demanding justice for Kennedy.
In a statement on it's Facebook page, VOIS call on all who wish to show their support for Miriam in her search for justice to show up at the Famagusta court tomorrow, the 16th of February, 2018.
