Greek Cypriots heads to polls in presidential election rerun

Greek Cypriots will be heading to the polls again today to elect a new leader in the second round of presidential elections.

Unlike last week's polls, voters will be called to choose between incumbent president, Nicos Anastasiades and contender Stavros Malas, in the runoff..

The two presidential candidates face each other in today’s elections, without having secured the backing of the parties that supported other candidates in the first round.

But in all incumbent president, Nicos Anastasiades is still favorite to win again.
