Fatal accident in Aslanköy leaves one dead

A 27-year-old man has lost his life in a traffic accident that took place between Aslanköy and Ulukışla on Friday night.

The deceased identify as Tolkan Ozkraç, was involved in the accident at about 8:00pm on Friday night around Cemali Polat, while driving towards the Aslanköy-Famagusta direction.

Police in a statement said the accident was as a result of collision between two vehicles. The vehicles is said to have dragged about 100 meters in a jammed manner. 

The driver of the other vehicle, Tolga Özkırak, who was trapped inside the vehicle, was seriously injured. 

The other victim lost his life on the way to the hospital in Lefkosa.
