Construction worker falls from building top in Girne

A 25-year-old construction worker working on an uncompleted building in Girne, has been injured after falling from the roof of the building.

According to police report, the incident happened in the Ilgaz village of Kyrenia at about 10:30am on Monday morning.

The worker identified as Mustafa Tozkum, reportedly fell from about four meters high after losing his balance while working on the roof of the building.

He sustained a light injury and was taken to the Girne hospital for treatment.

The incident brings the number of work accidents in 2018 alone to 13 of which three lost their lives.
