500kg of illegal beef confiscated by custom in Girne

About 500kg of illegal beef has been confiscated by the TRNC custom during a check at a workplace operating in Girne on Tuesday.

According to police report, the meat were discovered at about 5:20 pm on Tuesday evening during a check at the work place in Girne.

The illegal meat weighing approximately 500 kg was confiscated by the police.

The owners of the business premises identified as MK, 32 and ML, 38 were fined 21,000 Turkish Lira by customs officials.
