Turkish Cypriot involved in early morning accident along Lefkoşa- Girne
A 26-year-old Turkish Cypriot driver was involved in an early morning accident on Monday, January, 1 after he lost control of a car and hit a road side drainage along the Lefkosa-Girne high way.
According to police report, the victim, Erin Tandoğdu, was driving towards Girne along the Lefkosa-Girne highway at 06.55am when he lost control of the PD 777 Mercedes brand vehicle, hit the drainage on the left side of the road and flew 35 meters into the air before hitting an advertising board close to the road.
Reports adds that the driver who was seriously injured in the incident was high with 90 promil alcohol.
He was rushed to the Dr. Burhan hospital in Lefkosa.
