Sports Corner: The Pep factor
Its amazing how Manchester City has taken the Barclay's Premier League by storm this season in a way no
one would have thought that just after Christmas, the league prospective winner
is crystally predictable.
But we are surprised to know that this City side
is coached by the most monopolitic coach of this generation.
While at Barcelona Pep Gurdiola made the Spanish La Liga his personal trophy, at Bayern Munich he
won the Bundesliga three straight times, and on his second try he's looking sure
to win the English Premier League.
The tikitaka football style, his high pressing game, the flow of
passes and wing play gets us wondering where this man comes from, as special as
the Special One is, he still cant figure out Pep's amazing coaching pedigree.
At
this stage of the league the argument isn't if Manchester City will win the
league but the emphasis is on the possible point difference between them and other teams.
With the longest winning run in Spain with Barcelona, the
longest winning run in Germany with Bayern Munich, and now the longest winning
run in England with Manchester City, the Pep factor, is definitely the winning formula.
