Horrible accident along Girne - Guzelyurt highway on New Year day, two killed

Two people have reportedly lost their lives in a traffic accident that occurred in the first hours of the new year, along the Girne - Guzelyurt highway on Monday morning.
 
One of the victim, identified as a 53-year-old Northern Irish tourist woman, June Knight was reportedly hit in the crash by a driver who was reportedly drunk while the second victim, a male was identified as Aziz Türksever, 34.
 
According to Police report, 32-year-old Adnan Tokmak, was driving carelessly under the influence of 212 promil alcohol between 8-9 kilometers of the Girne - Güzelyurt Main Highway in the early hours of the morning when he hit the victims who were approaching Merit Hotel crossroad.

The victims who were seriously injured in the accident were rushed to the Akçiçek Hospital but lost their lives on the way.
 
The car driver Adnan Tokmak was arrested.
