Fire in Famagusta home, two children affected

Two children were affected by smoke following a fire incident in a Famagusta home on Sunday morning.

The fire on the house situated at Kanlidere Street in the Antalyalılar was reportedly caused by electricity.

According to police report, the fire which broke out at about 8.30am was thought to have been caused by an electric bulb contact or tipping over.

Fire fighters quickly intervened, preventing the fire from burning the entire house.

Several household items were damaged by the fire.
 

Two children between the age of 2 and 3 years were affected by the fire and were taken to the hospital for treatment.
