Arsenal sign Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang from Dortmund for £56m as Mesut Ozil signed a new three-year deal

Good news Gunners fans as Arsenal completes the signing of Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang from Borussia Dortmund for a club-record fee of €63.75 million (£56m, $79m) plus £5m in further add-ons on a four and a half year deal with Mesut Ozil extending his stay at the Emirate by signing a new three-year deal.

The deal was announced after drawn-out negotiations with Dortmund over the transfer fee.

Aubameyang, 28 will reportedly receive £180,000 a week, making him the highest paid player in Arsenal history -- although Mesut Ozil would be expected to eclipse that figure if he signs a new contract.
The Gabonese striker scored 79 goals in all competitions over the last two seasons and has found the net 141 times since joining BVB from Saint-Etienne in July 2013. He has 23 goals in 56 caps for Gabon.

Aubameyang is Arsenal's second major signing of the January transfer window after Mkhitaryan joined from Manchester United in a swap deal for Alexis Sanchez.

Another good news for the Gunners is that Mesut Ozil has ended speculation over his future by signing a new three-year deal with Arsenal.

Ozil, 28, was due to be out of contract at the end of the season but will now be tied to the club until the summer of 2021.
