28-year-old Nigerian beaten and murdered in Famagusta (Updated)
Last night a male body was discovered at a pond in Famagusta. Following an investigation by the police, it was revealed that the body is that of a 28-year-old Nigerian identified as Kennedy Toomwabwa Dede who was reportedly beaten and murdered by 8 Turkish youths.
According to police report, Kennedy Taomwabwa Dede, 28, a university student at Eastern Mediterranean University in Magusa was kidnapped by 8 people using his car on Monday, January, 29 and taken to the Çanakkale Pond where he was beaten and killed.

He was left naked with half his body inside the pond and the other half outside.
Police said they have arrested three suspects including18-year-old OK (male), ZK who started the fight, 22 (male) and B.Ç, 16 (female) who are all Turks following an eye witness tip off.
They were arraigned before a Famagusta court on Wednesday where the court judge ordered that they remain in prison for two more days as investigation continues.
Police said , they were still looking for more than 5 people connected with the incident.
Following medical examination, police said Kennedy was found to have been severely beaten and injured in the head.
An autopsy carried out on the body on Wednesday by Forensic Medicine Expert at Gazimağusa State Hospital determined that he died of internal injury to the brain and lungs.
Police say the incident will be treated as a genocide.
Friends of the deceased disclosed that Kennedy had been kidnapped previously in a similar way a week ago and that the incident was reported to the police who did nothing about it.
Before his death, Kennedy was once an athlete for the university.
His last Facebook post was on Sunday, January, 28
