Near East University impeach African Students Association President

The African Students Association President (ASA), of the Near East University, Mr. ISMAIL SWAHELE has been impeached and relieved off his duties.

According to information reaching us, the president, was impeached for violating the constitution and organizing an external party to RUN and organize THE just concluded NEU African NIGHT 2017 which led to a flop, disappointment in the history of the association.

In attendance at the impeachment announcement on Monday, December, 4 was the representatives of the executive committee, electoral committee, ASA stakeholders, and others.

According to the announcement made by Mr. Tijani Abdullateef, Mr. ISMAIL SWAHELE was impeached due to recent events that have been unfolding lately, following which a VOTE of no confidence was reached to immediately impeach him from the presidential post.

Violations included breaching the articles in the ASA constitution.

Further accusation on assigning an organizing committee for the AFRICAN NIGHT 2017 without the consent of the executive members which led to the flop and an unorganized ANNUAL event in the history of the association.
