Girne Municipality seals 15 enterprises in Girne

The Girne Municipality's health inspection team has sealed 15 business premises while 13 of the affected businesses were fined 2,592 Turkish Lira.

The Girne Municipality Health Department regulates and inspects food and hygiene of hotels, restaurants, cafes, supermarkets, food production companies and sales businesses.

According to report by the municipality, 2464 workplaces were  supervised by the health department between the period of September-November, 2017.

Among the businesses inspected, 15 enterprises were sealed due to problems and deficiencies in business permit, sanitary and general hygiene issues, and a total of 2 , 592 TL was fined for 13 enterprises.  

Following shelf inspections, products that are not suitable for food and hygiene and does not comply with regulations were confiscated.
