2017 Highlights

It will be 2018 in a matter of hours, 2017 has been a year to remember in Nigeria and the world at large, a year of the good, the bad, the ugly and the funny. So much happened in the political, sports, global, academic, and entertainment sphere and many of them are worth remembering as 2017 rolls away in style.

Here are 21 of my personal highlights for 2017.

1-President Buhari's health vacation.

2-The declaration of IPOB as a terrorist group, the disappearance of her leader Mazi Nnamdi Kanu and the operation python dance.

3-The discovery of the Ikoyi billions, the whistle blower complains and cash in shopping mall in Nigeria.

4-The arrest of billionaire kidnap kingpin Evans, who collected ransomes in Dollars.

5-The Super Eagles of Nigeria qualification for the World Cup in Russia.

6-The Libya slave trade, and the suffering of black African in Libya

7-Usain Bolt bowing out in style but not in disgrace.

8-US president Donald Trump acknowledging Jerusalem as Israel's capital

9-Manchester City and Pep Gurdiola's amazing start to the league and their winning run till the end of 2017.

10-The intersection of sophisticated weapons by the Nigerian custom, still waiting for final investigation outcome.

11-The appointment of three(3) dead Nigerians into Federal government boards, by the president of Nigeria and his APC cohorts.

12-Neymar Jnr world record move from Barcelona to Paris stain German PSG, I didn't see that one coming.

13-Resurfacing of fuel queues in Nigeria filling stations and the price of fuel (N280, in most stations in Nigeria).

14-The disappearance, reappearance and paddling of the Nigeria 2017 budget.

15-The pension scam, Maina, Cabals, and the unending saga.

16-The 30 billion concert, and the MoHit reunion on stage.

17-Ronaldo equaling Messi's Ballon D'or titles, Anthony Joshua becoming the world heavy weight champion and the come back money fight of Mayeather and MCgregor!
18-The prediction that the world will in end in 2017 
19-The discovery of new planets. 
20-The face-off between the US and North Korea that almost led to war
21-The sexual scandal rocking the entertainment industry and politics.
