World's first 'smart' condom that can rate sexual performance, detect STIs and even p*nis size to be released soon

A British company claims to have created the world's first "smart" condom which rate performances and helps detects sexually transmitted infections (STIs) like chlamydia and syphilis.

The makers of the 'i.Con Smart Condom' which is like a FitBit, also boasts that the ring-shaped sex device can even calculate how much calories a person burned while having intercourse. Oh really?

Created by Nottinghamshire firm, British Condoms, the smartphone-connected device can also provide a range of statistics, which they claim will help improve a wearer's sex life, such as duration of intercourse, number and speed of thrusts, girth measurements, penis size, and different positions used per week, month or year.

Despite the benefits that the device can offer to its users, it has sparked concerns as it could be used to spy on a person’s intimate moments. However, the company says that all data will be kept anonymous, provided users 'will have the option to share their recent data with friends, or, indeed the world'. 

The ring can be worn at the base of the condom and is fully adjustable, so you won't have to miss out whatever your size is. It also has an integrated micro USB port so it can be recharged, with each charge lasting about six to eight hours.

In a similar way to other health monitoring devices, it will use nano-chip and bluetooth technology to relay the data to a smartphone app.

Over 90,000 people have already pre-ordered the product which will be released later this year at the price of £59.99.
