The Pentagon accidentally retweeted a call for president Trump to resign
The Pentagon’s official Twitter account had on Thursday, mistakenly
retweeted and then quickly deleted a post that included a call for
President Donald Trump to resign.
The post was immediately deleted but not before a number of eyes had seen it and taken screenshots.
A Pentagon spokesman, Col. Rob Manning, said in a brief written statement that the content of the original tweet “would not be endorsed by the Department of Defense.”
The tweet was posted by a person whose Twitter handle is @ProudResister. It said,
Manning said the person who had retweeted the item “caught this error and immediately deleted it.”
Chief Pentagon spokesperson Dana White tweeted an explanation of how the post got out to its followers.
Many Twitter profiles contain a disclaimer saying
that retweets do not constitute an endorsement, but the Pentagon account,
@DeptofDefense, does not.

According to the Pentagon, an authorized operator of its Twitter page accidentally retweeted the tweet urging President Donald Trump to resign.The solution is simple.
