Osama bin Laden’s son calls on all Muslims to rise up and revenge against the US for killing his father

Like father like son? Osama bin Laden’s favourite son Hamza has called on Muslims around the world to to launch terror attacks on the US for killing his father. 

In the 25-minute audio recording released this week, the new al-Qaeda spokesman called for an “uprising” against America and its agents.

In the message, translated for MailOnline by the Middle East Media Research Institute, Hamza tells young Muslim men to prepare for a new wave of armed uprisings across the Arab world.

He also rejects democracy, saying that 'freedom cannot be earned with worthless pieces of paper cast inside a ballot box, nor by participation in polytheistic parliaments which legislate by man-made laws; it's earned with the ultimate generosity, selfless sacrifice… Jihad and martyrdom.'

Jihad must continue until the preparations are complete and the masses are ready for an uprising, so that the spark of an uprising may finally be lit, for its volcanic eruption to sweep aside the tyrant, liberate the masses from oppression, injustice and humiliation, and establish the Shariah of Allah.

Those who have the capacity for this undertaking may utilize the Shaykh's [Osama bin Laden's] example as an inspiration for rising up against tyrants, changing the corrupt order, repelling the occupation, and returning to their Islamic roots...

Rise in rebellion against the arrogant tyrants and return to Jihad in the Way of Allah.

Hamza, bin Laden, believed to be around 28 years old, praised his father as a martyr who “was able to rub America’s nose in dust and strike at its very heart” before his death.

He was able to revive the spirit of Jihad,” said Hamza.

He made the sweet springs of Jihad gush forth from beneath the surface, one after another, in different parts of the Islamic World, and the good work continues, with the permission of Allah.

He, may Allah have mercy on him, was able to revive the spirit of honour, freedom, and glory in the individual Muslim.

Hamza who has been hailed as the 'heir' to the leadership of Al-Qaeda after his father was killed in 2011 during a raid by US SEAL forces on the bin Laden family’s Pakistan compound at Abbottabad, along with another son, Khalid, and three others  praised his father’s “generosity and loyalty”, describing the September 11 mastermind as an “exemplary and symbolic leader” and describing his austere lifestyle, which involved eating “mere oil, salt, and a piece of bread” for lunch and dinner.

Bin Laden's death was celebrated as a huge blow to al-Qaeda and global terrorism, but the organisation is starting to see a resurgence as the Islamic State loses territory.
