Former Nigerian vice President, Alex Ekwueme Is Dead

The first elected Vice President of republic of Nigeria, Dr Alex Ekwueme, died on Sunday night in a London hospital after a long illness.

A statement from his family said he died at a London hospital yesterday

Dr Alex Ekwueme collapsed at his residence following his 85th birthday in October. He was rushed to a private hospital in Enugu before he was later flown to London for treatment on the order of President Buhari, where he died.

He is from is from OKO in orumba north local government area of Anambra state, Nigeria.
