Cyprus Weather: Dust particles causes air pollution in Cyprus, temperature to drop by 3-4 degrees

If you took notice, you would notice the dust particles in the atmosphere in Cyprus today.

Sometime during the week, we brought you a report by the North Cyprus Met office announcing that dust particles from North Africa will reach Cyprus leading to air pollution.

According to a new statement released by the Meteorology Department, the air pollution will be effective in the country until midnight.

It warned people with allergies, children and the elderly to take precautionary measures and try and stay indoors until the dust particles leave the area.

Meanwhile for the next three days rain has been forecast for the area.

Strong winds are expected to accompany the rainy weather conditions.

The temperatures are also expected to fall 3 to 4 decrees with the onset of rain in the country.
