Woman who killed Syrian student in an accident to remain in prison for another five days

The Turkish Cypriot woman who was arrested for hitting and killing a Syrian student on Friday last week will remain in police custody for another five days.

The 27-year-old woman identified as Gizem Galipoğlulari appeared in a Lefkosa Accident court on Friday while the court decided that she remain in prison for another five days.

She allegedly violated traffic light on Friday last week in Lefkosa and then went ahead to hit four pedestrian, killing one of them on the spot and injuring three others.   

The deceased, Abdul Rahman Murad, 27 who schools and lives in Lefkosa was taking a walk with his friends when the unfortunate incident happened.
