Woman marries her dog after giving up on men
Not in Africa or Asia but only in the West such a thing can be heard of that a woman would give up on men and decide to marry an animal or even an inanimate object.
After concluding that the perfect man simply does not exist, Wilhelmina Morgan Callaghan, 43, tied-the-knot to an Irish charmer called Henry which happens to be an eight-year-old Yorkshire terrier.
"Wonderful" Henry is always on hand for a cuddle, is both loyal, unwaveringly kind and supportive.
While Henry and Wilhelmina, do have their disagreements, she calls him her king and also credits him with helping her get through a rocky patch in her life.
Wilhelmina adopted Henry from a friend who had a litter in 2008 and will be celebrating her eighth wedding anniversary to Henry – who is blessed with a perky personality, big, dark eyes and soft, brown hair – on November 20.
After reading about people who had married their pets online, she decided to take the plunge with Henry.
They became dog and wife via a website, with Wilhelmina's friend Rebecca Carter acting as witness.
While it's not possible to legally marry your pet in the UK, they nonetheless have a certificate to mark their spiritual union, and it's a commitment Wilhelmina takes very seriously.
Despite the inevitable tensions which arise, it's Henry who often emerges as the peace-maker.
They even have 'their song'.
And there's no reason to believe this relationship has an expiration date, as Wilhelmina adds:
What do you expect from some who used to work in a morgue?

Things have fallen apart somewhat since we married in 2009,’ said Wilhelmina, of Northern Ireland.
I lost my job in a morgue, so was forced to become a freelance embalmer, there is not much money in that, and then my house flooded.
But Henry has been great throughout – he is so loyal. I call him ‘Ri’ which means ‘King’ in ancient Gaelic, because he is like a king – my king.’

If a new dog enters the fold, Henry is the first to go over and say hello. There's no ego, he is just so friendly.
They even have 'their song'.
When I sing it, he runs over. It's called 'Harry's Song' and it includes the lyrics, "Harry is my love. Harry is the one', she said.
And there's no reason to believe this relationship has an expiration date, as Wilhelmina adds:
He's been there for me more than any men have ever been.
Unlike other marriages which fall apart, I know I'm with Henry for life. People may think I'm barking mad, but he's perfect for me.
