What is your perception of Africa/Africans while you were out of the continent?
You know like the saying goes, travelling is part of education. Many us can be pardoned to think that what we read on books about Africa, Africans and some other places in the world are always the way book authors make it look like, but that is not really so.
A Nigerian student in Cyprus, Ayomide Wayne has something to tell us about what he has learnt while he was away from Nigeria and come to think of it, he just made a point out of something no one is probably interested in.
Things I relearnt about Africans/Africa since I came to Cyprus
1. Not all Northern Nigerians are Hausa
2. Northern Nigerians are not 'stupid illiterates'
3. Somalians, Kenyans and other Eastern Africans aren't poor, ugly and hungry
4. Zimbabwe is not Zambia
5. Nigerians are not the only talented people in Africa.
6. Egyptians can speak good English.
7. English is an official language of Cameroon
8. Zimbabwean food is not trash and some Zimbabweans can cook (for real!)
9. Ethiopia and Tanzania have amazingly cheap internet prices.
10. Kenya is not filled with only lions
...I could go on with this list, too much misinformation about Africa was given to me and i spent my whole life there.

To you, what is your perception of Africa/Africans, culture and it's people? Has being away from your country change your perception of the continent and its people?
