Turkish Lira reach a record low against the Euros, Dollars and Pounds

The Turkish Lira reached a historic peak against the US, British Pounds and the Euros on Wednesday due to the continued geopolitical instability in the region as a result of the visa crisis between Turkey and the US and the conflicts in Iraq and Syria.

The dollar, which sold for 3,76 TL during the day on Wednesday, rose to 3.80 in the evening hours while the Euro / TL traded at 4.50 in the evening hours.

At the opening of the markets on Thursday, the exchange rates declined compared to Wednesday.
The dollar fluctuated back to 3.75, and sold at around 3.77. The Euro, which reached the level of 4, 50TL on Wednesday night, opened at  4.44TL and then to around 4.46 on Thursday morning.

Sterling, which exceeded the 5TL level on Wednesday night, a high saw a drop on Thursday morning to about 4.93. 

As of 12:00 pm today, TRNC's currencies have reached US3.74, Euro 4,48 and GBP 5,01.

Markets in Turkey today are waiting for the interest rates announced by the Central Bank of Turkey and the European Central Bank. In the surveys conducted in Turkey, it was revealed that the vast majority of economists believed that the Central Bank of the Republic of Turkey would not make any changes in interest rates.
