Three injured in accident along Lefkosa-Girne highway

Three people were injured in an accident that occurred at the Lefkosa-Girne highway on Saturday evening when two vehicles collided.
 
According to Turkish Cypriot daily, Kibris Online, one of the vehicles somersaulted in the incident while the other crashed by the road side.
 
The accident victims, Erkan Ertalu, 57, Aysen Ozansoy, 60 and Zehra Nalbant, 52 sustained various degrees of injuries and were rushed to the hospital. 
 
Following the accident, a large number of Turkish Cypriots took to the scene of the accident to protest about the way traffic accidents are occurring in the area.

According to police report, the accident took place at about 6:15pm between 4-5 km from the Nicosia-Girne highway.
