Nigerian entrepreneur who is friend to Mario Balotelli found stabbed to death in a luxury West London apartment

An entrepreneur, who was friends with Italian footballer Mario Balotelli, has been found dead in his luxury flat in a West London flat, police say.

Mayowa Ogunbayo, 29, was discovered dead with a stab wound to the heart at his home in Park Royal, last Friday night, reports the Daily Mail.

The victim who was found by ambulance crews inside the flat he shared with his fiancée near Park Royal, Hanger Lane, west London and was pronounced dead at the scene nearly an hour later.

At around 2:00 am that night, detectives were called by paramedics to reports that a man had been knifed. Police later arrested a 21-year-old woman on suspicion of murder but has been released on bail pending further investigation.

Police say his death is being treated as 'unexplained', with officers trying to establish whether or not the injuries may have been self-inflicted after a post mortem carried out on Friday was ‘inconclusive’.

Mayowa, also known as Johnny John, lived in the £500,000 two-bedroom apartment with his dancer fiancee, who he proposed to in May.

Mayowa grew up in Nigeria and moved to the UK with his mother and three sisters to study at college. After working with five star hotels, while studying at the University of Kent, he set up his own entertainments company.
