Netflix ends ‘House of Cards’ amid sexual assault allegations against Kevin Spacey

Sorry House of Card fans..... Netflix announced Monday that they will cancel the movie a day after ‘Star Trek Discovery’ actor Anthony Rapp accused Spacey of sexual assault when he was a teenager.

Netflix pulled out of the 13 episodes movie which is in its sixth season and currently in production saying it will be the last after lead actor and executive producer Kevin Spacey announced on twitter that he is gay following a child assault accusation made against him by an actor, Anthony Rapp.

Spacey, 54 was accused of sexually assaulting a teen over 30 years ago. Compounding the scandal, Spacey’s brother is now revealing family secrets.

In an interview with Buzzfeed published on Sunday, Rapp said Spacey invited him to a party at his apartment in 1986. At the end of the night, Rapp said Spacey stood in the doorway, blocking his exit.

Rapp recalled Spacey drunkenly picking him up “like a groom picks up the bride over the threshold,” and carrying him to a bed before lying on top of him.

He was trying to seduce me,” Rapp told Buzzfeed. “I don't know if I would have used that language. But I was aware that he was trying to get with me sexually.

Rapp was 14 at the time and Spacey, 26.

Rapp told Buzzfeed he was able to “squirm” away and quickly left the apartment, but that the incident has stayed with him.

Over 30 years later, Rapp said he felt compelled to come forward with the allegations after numerous women came out with allegations against Hollywood producer Harvey Weinstein.
Kevin Spacey who claimed he doesn’t remember the assault move he made to Anthony Rapp when he was 14, has been compared to Harvey Weinstein by members of Hollywood’s LGBTQ community.

In response, Spacey issued an apology on Twitter, saying he was “beyond horrified” to hear Rapp’s story, but added that he did not remember the incident.

If I did behave then as he describes, I owe him the sincerest apology for what would have been deeply inappropriate drunken behavior, Spacey tweeted.

Spacey’s two-paragraph apology then pivoted, with the Academy Award-winning actor and honorary knight of the British empire announcing that he had decided to “live as a gay man.”
Hollywood’s LGBTQ community view his sudden openness about his sexuality, as nothing more than a ‘calculated manipulation.’

‘You don’t remember the incident – 30 years ago? – f*** u kevin – like Harvey [Weinstein] we all knew about u – I hope more men come forward,’ said Rosie.

‘I am sorry that Kevin only saw fit to acknowledge his truth when he though it would serve him — just as his denial served him for so many years,’ said Quinto
