Emmanuel Eboue to sue Turkish Cypriot club Türk Ocağı Limasol for false HIV rumors
Former
Ivory Coast international, Emmanuel Eboue, who was expected to sign for
Northern Cyprus club, Türk Ocağı Limasol last week but was put on hold due to
medical problems and later travel to England to undergo further tests is now
suing the club following claims that HIV infection was allegedly found in his
blood.
Eboue who has been without a club for over a year due to a FIFA ban was set to
return to football when he signed for Turkish Cypriot club, Turkish Ocağı
Limassol last week. But the contract was put on hold following allegation that
he has abnormal blood values. The 34-year-old traveled to London on Sunday for
further tests where he was subjected to extensive controls and tests.
According to reports, tests results revealed that Eboue had not been infected
with the HIV virus as was widely claimed.
In
a statement to the new development, Eboue stated that he had no HIV before
adding that tests results were also documented at the control centre in
London.
He went further to say that he would sue the TRNC Club for causing these rumors
to emerge.
So happy about this news.
