Baby abandoned in North Cyprus Hospital needs help
Some time ago, we brought you a report about eight and a half-month-old baby
Judi who was abandoned by his mother at a North Cyprus hospital due to his
disability. Read here.
Judi who was born disabled, was reportedly abandoned to his fate at the Lefkosa Burhan Nalbantoğlu State Hospital by his mother and father who happen to be Nigerians, just barely two months after his birth.
Ever since, Judi has been under the care of nurses and doctors at the hospital who have tried their best to lift him up and how him love as if he was their own.
Several public calls for help have been made on behalf of the baby on social media and blogs.
Currently, the hospital management are looking for a family for him as he cannot continue to remain in the hospital.
Our View
It is completely illogical to have a baby and then dumped him/her, no matter their state/condition. Judi as a baby did not begged to be born into this world neither did he deserved the treatment meted to him by his parents.
Where is our mind of reasoning? Where is our conscience? Where is the fear of God in us? Where is our love for humanity?
No matter how bad or disappointed one might feel due to having a disabled baby, abandoning him/her to his/her fate is cruel and inhumane.
You carried a baby for nine months, and went through a lot during the same period only to deliver and abandoned the baby there after? Who does that?
If our parents had done the same to us, where could we have been today? Being disabled does not mean the end of the world. There are so many successful disabled people out there today who are making their family and country proud.
Now and then, we hear and read stories of how different families stick with their handicapped (children born with defects and disabilities) babies who doesn't even have hope of survival, this is not because they have the money to take care of the child, but because, it's their blood and soul.
It's saddens me that an innocent child so young had to go through this especially for the fact that he had no say in his conception.

As it is today, it is impossible for Judi to survive alone. He needs love and
he needs a home.
We call on well-meaning Nigerians and individuals out there to please help
Judi find a home and especially find her biological family.
