100,629 Students are studying in 16 universities in North Cyprus

 

The North Cyprus Minister of National Education and Culture Özdemir Berova has revealed that there are about 100,629 students schooling in 16 universities in the TRNC. 

The minister made the disclosure in a message published ahead of the new academic year for 201/2018. 

According to the minister, a total of 100,629 students are studying in 16 universities in the island of which 13,365 are from North Cyprus, 55, 890 from Turkey and 31,374 from other countries.

He noted that the country have made significant steps in higher education and will continue to do so. He also added that the ministry will do more to increase the quality of education in the country.
