US threatens to wipe out North Korea if Kim detonates Hydrogen bomb.

Following North Korea's latest launch of a sixth nuclear bomb, the US has warned the country that it's threat to use such a weapon against the United States and its allies “will be met with a massive military response.’’

The rogue state on Sunday announced it had successfully carried out its most powerful nuclear test yet, provoking the US and it's neighbor, South Korea and Japan.

Korean State media said it was a bomb intended for an intercontinental ballistic missile (ICBM).

The US had ‘many options’ which could lead to the ‘annihilation’ of North Korea, Defence Secretary Jim Mattis said on Monday.

Any threat to the United States or its territories, including Guam, or our allies will be met with a massive military response, a response both effective and overwhelming,’ Mr Mattis said.
Kim Jong-un should take heed of the UN Security Council’s unified voice. We are not looking to the total annihilation of a country, namely North Korea, but as I said, we have many options to do so.

When asked if he planned to attack Pyongyang, US president, Donald Trump said, ‘We’ll see’, adding that he was holding a meeting with his military leaders.

Earlier, Trump had tweeted that talk of appeasement with Korea was pointless because the country ‘only understand one thing’, as the state promised further tests.
The underground blast was by far North Korea’s most powerful ever as the explosion caused tremors that were felt in South Korea and China. The weapon according to experts is ten times more powerful than the Hiroshima bomb that could kill millions of people.

In July, North Korea tested two ICBMs that are believed to be capable of reaching the US mainland.
