Man almost drown in Girne beach
An unidentified Turkish Cypriot man have everything to thank God for after he was rescued from the sea in Girne, North Cyprus in the early hours of Thursday morning when he was almost drowning.
The man whose identity can not be ascertain and in his early 30s was with a friend at the beach in Kaşgar Court area, Girne at about 7:30 am on Thursday when the incident took place.
According to an witness, after entering the sea, the victim began to struggle with a very strong wave which almost cost him his life.
His friend who was standing nearby and noticed that his friend was in danger, quickly intervened and rescued him.
The victim sustained few bruises on his body after the rescue operation, that took about 40 minutes.
He was later taken to the hospital in an ambulance.
