Greek Cypriot president, Anastasiades express readiness to return to negotiations table

Greek Cypriot President, Nicos Anstasiades has said he is willing to return to the negations table within the United Nations parameters set by UN Secretary General Antonio Guterres.

Anstasiades made the assertion on Thursday when he said he will assure Guterres of his willingness to continue the Cyprus negotiations process within the parameters set by Guterres himself during their planned meeting on the side-lines of the UN General Assembly in New York, on Friday.

According to report, Anastasiades will also elaborate on some of the issues he raised in his address to the Assembly on Thursday.

A diplomatic source revealed that, Anastasiades will underline the need for in-depth preparation of the next step in efforts to solve Cyprus Problem and the need for the Turkish Cypriot side to demonstrate the same good will.
