Alexis Sanchez issues threat to Arsenal after failed Manchester City move

Alexis Sanchez has threatened to never play for Arsenal again after the club stopped his proposed move to Manchester City on transfer deadline day.

The Gunners had accepted a £60 million offer from City for the Chile international on Thursday morning, but later pulled out on the deal after failing to land a replacement in Thomas Lemar.

Arsenal had also tabled a late £92m bid for Thomas Lemar that was accepted by Monaco but the 21-year-old French player declined the chance to move to the Emirate which killed City's hope of signing Sanchez.

According to a report by Goal, Sanchez feels Arsenal have ‘messed around’ with his future and has ‘no motivation’ to continue playing under Wenger.

The report also claims that Sanchez’s agent, Fernando Felicevich, is furious with Arsenal’s decision to put the brakes on the transfer after initially indicating that a deal was possible.

The 28-year-old has less than a year remaining on his Arsenal contract and could still join City in January for a cut prize fee of about £30m.
