Zimbabwean youths lack ideological direction - Mugabe

Zimbabwe President, Robert Mugabe has described Zimbabwean youths as lacking ideological direction, a comments which were partly directed towards his binging two sons following their escapades in South Africa which lead to their mother Grace Mugabe attacking a 20 year-old South African model.

Mugabe made the remarks at the weekend when speaking at a national shrine while giving a eulogy of Zanu PF politburo member George Rutanhire who was being buried.

According to him, his frustrations was that Zimbabwean youths lacked the ideological direction that youths of his own time had.

Mugabe' comments, shows signs that the first couple was having nightmares over their delinquent sons.

Many of our kids, oh no, vanoenda kuzvima-party zvavo izvi nevasikana, ah (they go binging in the company of girls)!

We want to redirect our youths. They should know that the country was fought for, he said.

According to him, youths of his generation did not need to be told a lot about white oppressive rule that led to their forbearers to wage the liberation struggle.

The Mugabe brothers, Robert Junior and Bellarmine Chatunga, both in their 20s, were earlier this year reportedly ejected from Dubai where they were studying and relocated to South Africa amid reports of extravagance and drug abuse.

But hardly have they spent a full year in South Africa before continuing from where they left off in Dubai, as they are often seen imbibing expensive beers in the company of girls.
